Since
1993, EcoLogic and its partners have advanced conservation
of critical natural resources in rural areas of Latin America by
promoting
sustainable livelihoods that affirm local cultures and by strengthening
community participation in natural resource management.
By linking environmental
stewardship and economic development, we positively impact threatened
habitats
as well as human well-being. The key to EcoLogic’s success is our
partners,
rural and indigenous-led organizations that reflect the values of their
communities. To date, EcoLogic has provided direct assistance to more
than
5,000 rural communities who serve as stewards to over 6 million acres
of
ecologically rich habitat in Latin America.
