DESCRIPTION Ipas, a global non-profit leader in reproductive health, seeks to hire a Regional Director, LAC who will provide leadership and vision in the development and implementation of Ipas’s regional initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Regional Director works closely with Country Directors and the functional units within Ipas to achieve Ipas’s mission, and will assess opportunities and collaboratively facilitate the development, funding, implementation and evaluation of our programs in the countries in which Ipas works. The Director is responsible for coordinating the cross-functional country work plans throughout the region, including components addressing training, service delivery, marketing, policy, communications, research and evaluation. The Regional Director plays a facilitation role in the creation and implementation of Ipas’s strategic initiatives and organizational objectives and oversees the management cycle requirements for the region. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES STRATEGIC PLANNING AND PROJECT DEVELOPMENT: Provides leadership and creativity in planning of regional and country strategies and program objectives; assess opportunities, develops strategies and projects, obtaining inputs from other team members, Ipas technical units and regional colleagues. Contributes to organizational planning and development of priorities. MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION: Responsible for managing the regional program and achieving program results, including development and monitoring of budgets, workplans, evaluation and reporting of results. Ensure that regional and country objectives are met, consistent with organizational priorities and desired results. SUPERVISION: Ensures that appropriate human resources are available to meet regional and country objectives. Provides guidance and supervision to ensure that each team member performs their responsibilities toward desired results, and encourages teamwork to meet overall objectives. FUNDRAISING: With Country Directors, identifies funding opportunities with all types of donors ( multi-lateral, bi-lateral, corporate and local donors) and represents Ipas with donors. Provides leadership in developing proposals which meet donor and Ipas interests, in collaboration with team and technical units; and responsible for achieving project results, reporting and communication with donors. REPRESENTATION: Builds partnerships with government and other private sector organizations and advocates for policies and programs that maximize impact and resources to further women’s reproductive health and the mission of Ipas. Represents Ipas and advocates for women’s reproductive health and rights at national, regional and international conferences and events. CORE REQUIREMENTS
